Mispronounced Words

Nolan says plenty of things correctly and repeats anything and everything we say. Problem is, some of the words he says sound a little…off. One word he substitutes for another one is downright hilarious. We were changing his diaper and said it “looks like guacamole.” So what do you think he says when he poops or sees the dog poop? Yep, guacamole.

First, here’s some of the words he has no problem saying:

  • pineapple
  • Chuggington
  • applesauce
  • pancakes
  • igloo
  • baseball
  • ice-cube
  • Percy (from Thomas and Friends)
  • guacamole
  • Darcy (he learned that one today)

Now for the mispronounced words:

  • truck (use your imagination)
  • socks (see above)
  • helmet (“oomeet”)
  • Nolan (“Nu-Nu”)
  • granola bar (“oganoa bah”)

By the way, truck and socks are the same word, or so it sounds. And so what he can’t say his own name–I blame the kids at daycare when he was there for starting this “Nu-Nu” craze.

You know how he knows igloo? Because school time is paying off.

Dad life.
